H trip S 4

'Oh, Pox, you're so excitable. Of course you're enamored with X. All things end in X for you, darling, being that your name ends with it.  I like how you break it down, hon, and analyze it and everything, but don't you think your interpretations - lucid though they may be in this late/early hour - might be a bit subjective? I do so love that you're inspired and I agree that X just might be the ultimate acronym but...'

'But what, babe?' Her questioning, brilliant eyes watching closely. Waiting, still yes, always waiting for the genius of Darius to show itself. D always insists that he's like a million times smarter than the average idiot but still not really smart at all. Pox views this as a dichotomy which she hopes will be reconciled and very soon. Plus, the extremely self-deprecating nature that Darius naturally displays is both a blessing and a curse for Pox.  It's nice to know that Darius is a rather humble sort of chap but sometimes she finds him whiny and full of self pity and given the tribulations she's had to perservere through to keep her own personal map intact, she sometimes views D's diatribes as rather weak and very complainy.
'I personally find Y much more enjoyable, especially upside down like this--->.'

'But D, isn't Y just an X with one leg slightly moved and the other removed?'

'Good point, Pox.'

'See? X is valid and far more superior than Y.'

'But, Pox, X reminds me of nefarious things.'

'Like what, love?'

'Ex-girlfriends, poison and the spot; the latter not being so bad but when it's chosen for you instead of by you, for me, that's where the negative connotations begin.'

Darius sat up. His eyes roamed around the room and looked for a cigarette even though he hadn't smoked one in near ten years. The reflexivity of bad habits dies hard.

Pox jumped on him, straddled his legs and faced him.

'What are you looking for, Mr. Man?'
Darius smiled that coy smile of his and kissed her.

'This Y right here, babe. It's so peaceful and feels soooo good.'

'Oh you...'
